De hevige sneeuwval heeft ook in de Engelse Premier League voor afgelastingen gezorgd. Ondanks er met man en macht werd gewerkt om het DW Stadium sneeuwvrij te maken en de wedstrijd te laten doorgaan, bleef de sneeuw met bakken uit de lucht vallen. Net zoals vorig jaar dus werd Wigan v Villa afgelast. Volgende zondag, op Boxing Day, komt Tottenham Hotspur op bezoek.
